Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ulrich Quinkert kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the game, Yannik Thieme lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Albert Scherzer. 1 FC SPICH's Helmuth Wagner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrich Quinkert in the 7th minute of play. Merten Jakobs hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ulrich Quinkert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Helmuth Wagner was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 16th minute of the match Peter Ziolkowski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albert Scherzer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 17th match minute, Sport Club Giresun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wulf-Dieter Strampfer to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in 1 FC SPICH's zone, Ulrich Quinkert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmuth Wagner came out of the goal and Ulrich Quinkert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albert Scherzer came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by 1 FC SPICH's Marc-Stephan Burger. But to his dismay, Marc-Stephan Burger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 36 minutes, Merten Jakobs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sport Club Giresun and the 1 FC SPICH players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sport Club Giresun getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Merten Jakobs hit a great ball. Marc-Stephan Burger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 played minutes Yannik Thieme rounded Sport Club Giresun's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. Yannik Thieme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Albert Scherzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Albert Scherzer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yannik Thieme's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After 53 minutes, Yannik Thieme made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sport Club Giresun's Albert Scherzer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sport Club Giresun's Albert Scherzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannik Thieme in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Lennert Pitterle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1 FC SPICH's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Club Giresun the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Günther Reh got free with Helmuth Wagner in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Yannik Thieme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yannik Thieme in the 66th minute of play forced Sport Club Giresun's goalkeeper Albert Scherzer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Ulrich Quinkert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 1 FC SPICH's Marc-Stephan Burger got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Helmuth Wagner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Klefel in the 76th minute. Sport Club Giresun's Albert Scherzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannik Thieme in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sport Club Giresun defense, Yannik Thieme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albert Scherzer. The Sport Club Giresun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albert Scherzer should have stopped the shot. Marc-Stephan Burger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yannik Thieme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Scherzer having to interfere. In the 96th minute of the match Ruth Schertz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albert Scherzer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. 1 FC SPICH had played much better football throughout.
