Bill Kersten took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruno Nonnenmacher. Melting Sun FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Melting Sun FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Hütt came free, but Bruno Nonnenmacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reelpool TM's Hemmo Peddinghaus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Reelpool TM from getting a goal against them. Henning Schwanitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hemmo Peddinghaus having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Reelpool TM's goalkeeper Hemmo Peddinghaus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars Loos. A collision led to Reelpool TM getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ludger Eckstein hit a great ball. Henning Schwanitz was shown his second yellow card after 18 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A hard shot 22 in the game by Lars Loos from a close distance when the talented Hemmo Peddinghaus managed to make a qualified save. Reelpool TM's players were relieved. Simon Jenkner kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Lars Loos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hemmo Peddinghaus having to interfere. Reelpool TM's Hemmo Peddinghaus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Schenk in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Hütt in the 32nd minute of play forced Melting Sun FC's goalkeeper Bruno Nonnenmacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Reelpool TM's goalkeeper Hemmo Peddinghaus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Leon Schiffer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Melting Sun FC's Lars Loos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hemmo Peddinghaus narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The wind increased when Friedhold Wurm made the kick off in the second half. Hemmo Peddinghaus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Schenk in the 52nd minute of play. Folke Schenk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hemmo Peddinghaus having to make a save. In the 60th minute, Lars Loos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hemmo Peddinghaus was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 63 minutes into the game, Leon Schiffer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Hemmo Peddinghaus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Lars Loos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melting Sun FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Loos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hemmo Peddinghaus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Folke Schenk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hemmo Peddinghaus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Lars Loos put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hemmo Peddinghaus. Melting Sun FC's Leon Schiffer got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zoltan Appeltrath kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 81 minutes, Herbert Gehse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melting Sun FC and the Reelpool TM players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Herbert Gehse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Schiffer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leon Schiffer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hemmo Peddinghaus having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Lars Loos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hemmo Peddinghaus was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Folke Schenk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Melting Sun FC had played much better football throughout.
