Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lars Loos in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agilo Rossel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henning Schwanitz hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Händl in the 28th minute of play forced Melting Sun FC's goalkeeper Bruno Nonnenmacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Nonnenmacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Händl, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tim Händl made a kick off. Folke Schenk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Loos in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agilo Rossel saved FC Dortmund from getting behind. In the 95th minute, Lars Loos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melting Sun FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
