After 32 minutes, Robert Hönes made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Königsblau Schalke's Billy Straubinger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th match minute, Königsblau Schalke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Rieden to maneuver through the defense. Thies Hell charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thies Hell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Billy Straubinger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1.FC Mehlesdorf. After a rather tough play, 1.FC Mehlesdorf's Robert Hönes got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thies Hell in the 76th minute of play forced 1.FC Mehlesdorf's goalkeeper Saverio Indalecio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1.FC Mehlesdorf's Robert Hönes got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Hönes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Straubinger having to interfere. Billy Straubinger was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Robert Hönes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Robert Hönes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Edgar Kühlert's late challenge caught a 1.FC Mehlesdorf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Kühlert helped the player get up and apologised. Billy Straubinger made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Robert Hönes sent off a good shot on target. The Königsblau Schalke fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. 1.FC Mehlesdorf were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
