In the 16th minute, Sven Hütt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Die Durchstarter's zone, Sven Hütt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Stieglitz came out of the goal and Sven Hütt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Egidius Hähle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dietmar Enkelmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Michael Stieglitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Friedhold Wurm made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Reelpool TM's Sven Hütt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Stieglitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 68 minutes into the match, Die Durchstarter's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Hütt came free, but Michael Stieglitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Friedhold Wurm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Stieglitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Friedhold Wurm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Stieglitz having to interfere. Reelpool TM's Friedhold Wurm got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the game, Friedhold Wurm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Michael Stieglitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Reelpool TM were the better team. Reelpool TM's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
