An unexpectedly hard shot by Friedhold Wurm in the 42nd minute of play forced Rothenbergen FSV's goalkeeper Tonio Lingens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Friedhold Wurm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Rothenbergen FSV booed when Reelpool TM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zoltan Appeltrath didn't get a good kick on the ball. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rothenbergen FSV! In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Reelpool TM. Bill Kersten stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tonio Lingens. 2-1. Tonio Lingens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Friedhold Wurm in the 98th minute of the match. Rothenbergen FSV's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
