When Justus Bonhöfer fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hocheck's protests and gave Justus Bonhöfer a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Hocheck:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lühe:s goal. Hocheck:s Emanuel Ullmann showed great skill when he stopped Yavuz Dobrindt:s penalty. Lühe's Ronnie Yüksel got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronnie Yüksel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ralf Heintges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 18 minutes of play, Lühe's Ronnie Yüksel made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Ullmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Kai Ernst in the 23rd minute of play forced Lühe's goalkeeper Jari Flemming to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Niklas Lautwein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jari Flemming made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kai Ernst in the 29th minute of play. Knut Gern's late challenge caught a Hocheck's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Knut Gern helped the player get up and apologised. After 30 played minutes Lühe got a freekick which was hit by Knut Gern. If Niklas Lautwein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kai Ernst in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jari Flemming saved Lühe from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Lühe's Knut Gern got a free kick in the 37th minute. Lühe's Knut Gern pulled a muscle in his leg after 39 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Hocheck's Justus Bonhöfer got his second yellow card of the match in the 39th minute. The referee ordered Justus Bonhöfer off the ground. The long shot by Frederik Beide in the 41st minute really tested Emanuel Ullmann's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After having played for 43 minutes, Danko Heffungs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lühe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danko Heffungs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th match minute, Hocheck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörn Fischer to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kai Ernst stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Malte Sonnemans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Ullmann having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Ralf Heintges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronnie Yüksel struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Emanuel Ullmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lühe. Ronnie Yüksel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Ullmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ronnie Yüksel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Ullmann was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. If Ronnie Yüksel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Hocheck's zone, Danko Heffungs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Ullmann came out of the goal and Danko Heffungs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Ronnie Yüksel made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Ullmann. Hocheck's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Lühe's Ralf Heintges got a free kick in the 76th minute. Tyler Salterberg shot from long distance in the 77th minute, but Jari Flemming was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Jari Flemming showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Ernst, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Ronnie Yüksel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hocheck's goalkeeper Emanuel Ullmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Christoph Schlagbauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronnie Yüksel in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Ullmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lühe's Yannick Stolzenberg got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lühe walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
