The referee gave Merten Gehring a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The Erlenbacher FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gremberghoven FC were winning 0-1.

Richard Hutterer's late challenge caught a Gremberghoven FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. It was a penalty for Gremberghoven FC! Ramon Palupski made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Nigel Fellbaum sent off a good shot on target. Erlenbacher FC's Ramon Palupski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Erlenbacher FC from getting a goal against them.
