Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rüdiger Nellessen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ludwig Szymanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Andersen in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute Rüdiger Nellessen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludwig Szymanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Eintracht Braunschweig's zone, Felix Andersen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludwig Szymanski came out of the goal and Felix Andersen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Felix Andersen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Andersen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludwig Szymanski having to interfere. Karsten Spoddig kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Eintracht Braunschweig's Ortwin Görlitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovid Eisenhauer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Massimo Pitz fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eintracht Braunschweig's protests and gave Massimo Pitz a yellow card for diving instead. Massimo Pitz kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Rüdiger Nellessen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felix Andersen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ludwig Szymanski having to make a save. In the 44th minute Felix Andersen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludwig Szymanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Felix Andersen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ludwig Szymanski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Eintracht Braunschweig's Ludwig Szymanski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rüdiger Nellessen in the 55th minute of play. Ovid Eisenhauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ortwin Görlitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 58th match minute, Wolterdingen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Andersen to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute of the match Hartwig Dreyer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ludwig Szymanski skillfully saved the ball. If Hubert Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Rüdiger Nellessen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolterdingen FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rüdiger Nellessen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Rüdiger Nellessen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludwig Szymanski was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After 91 minutes, Eric Seiffert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eintracht Braunschweig and the Wolterdingen FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wolterdingen FSV booed when Eintracht Braunschweig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Seiffert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Rüdiger Nellessen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolterdingen FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Rüdiger Nellessen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludwig Szymanski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wolterdingen FSV's Felix Andersen got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Rüdiger Nellessen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ludwig Szymanski. That made the score 0-2 in the 96 minute of play. The Eintracht Braunschweig fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wolterdingen FSV were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
