Happy team's Elmar Frosch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Happy team from getting a goal against them. Ludwig Pilz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Graf having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens Hopke in the 8th minute of play forced Happy team's goalkeeper Elmar Frosch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl Groth in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elmar Frosch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christian Graf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Pilz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Karl Groth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uripils's Jens Hopke got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ignaz Haug hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Volker Kohlstedt made a kick off. Albrecht Klerings kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Christian Graf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Volker Kohlstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ludwig Pilz struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Christian Graf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Happy team. A collision led to Happy team getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Johannes Krämer hit a great ball. Jens Hopke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Uripils booed when Happy team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Campe didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Karl Groth came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Uripils fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Groth couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Happy team players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Uripils.
