Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ludwig Szymanski acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Thomas Roßmüller. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eintracht Braunschweig's goalkeeper Ludwig Szymanski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute of the match, Jürgen Wienecke tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ludwig Szymanski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 10th minute, 1.FC Union Berlin's Jürgen Wienecke dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 13th minute, Dittmar Strich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludwig Szymanski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Wienecke in the 17th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Jürgen Wienecke managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1.FC Union Berlin's supporters rose to their feet, but Jürgen Wienecke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludwig Szymanski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ergün Erler kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Ludwig Szymanski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mischa Simpson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. With a little luck, Eintracht Braunschweig's Ludwig Szymanski got control of the ball when Mischa Simpson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hubert Hug's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Fischer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After 68 minutes of play, 1.FC Union Berlin's Mischa Simpson made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ludwig Szymanski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ludwig Szymanski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jürgen Wienecke, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The supporters of 1.FC Union Berlin booed when Eintracht Braunschweig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Massimo Pitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mischa Simpson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. Ludwig Szymanski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jürgen Wienecke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ludwig Szymanski having to make a save. Ludwig Szymanski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jürgen Wienecke, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Hubert Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ludwig Szymanski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jürgen Wienecke went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 1.FC Union Berlin fully deserved thier win.
