Uripils's Christian Graf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rappo Jaksch in the 7th minute of play. Karl Groth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 10 minutes, Jens Hopke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uripils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens Hopke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aimo Jäger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl Groth's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Aimo Jäger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Hopke, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. When Jens Hopke came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Uripils fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens Hopke couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Die Nordländer's Gerhart Buchele got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Karl Groth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Die Nordländer's Aimo Jäger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Groth in the 27th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Karl Groth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aimo Jäger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Walter Jung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Groth in the 43rd minute of play forced Die Nordländer's goalkeeper Aimo Jäger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Groth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aimo Jäger having to interfere. The supporters of Uripils booed when Die Nordländer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopold Bogenrieder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rappo Jaksch made the kick off in the second half. Jens Hopke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Aimo Jäger made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Karl Groth got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 59th match minute, Die Nordländer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Küster to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the game, Jens Hopke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aimo Jäger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wim Kuhntz shot from long distance in the 75th minute, but Aimo Jäger was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens Hopke got free with Aimo Jäger in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Die Nordländer's Aimo Jäger got control of the ball when Jens Hopke tried to sneak it across the goal line. Die Nordländer's Carlo Küster got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Carlo Küster off the ground. Carlo Küster hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When Jens Hopke came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Uripils fans jumped to their feet. Karl Groth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Aimo Jäger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Karl Groth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uripils's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
