Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rappo Jaksch kicked off to start the match. Gerlach Drews kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After 5 minutes, Carlo Küster mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Die Nordländer and the Eintracht Braunschweig players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Die Nordländer getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Carlo Küster hit a great ball. After 7 played minutes, Eintracht Braunschweig's Boris Hauer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aimo Jäger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eintracht Braunschweig reached it. After 10 minutes, Sepp Kammholz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Die Nordländer and the Eintracht Braunschweig players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Die Nordländer's Sepp Kammholz got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Die Nordländer's goalkeeper Aimo Jäger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kuno Schmidt struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Ludwig Szymanski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Die Nordländer. 20 minutes into the game, Gerhart Buchele was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Die Nordländer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eintracht Braunschweig the free kick. The supporters of Eintracht Braunschweig booed when Die Nordländer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerhart Buchele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hubert Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute, Massimo Pitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Die Nordländer's Rappo Jaksch got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Die Nordländer's goal looked a bit too open when Ortwin Görlitz came free, but Aimo Jäger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ludwig Szymanski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rappo Jaksch in the 37th minute of the match. When Leopold Bogenrieder fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Die Nordländer's protests and gave Leopold Bogenrieder a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Leopold Bogenrieder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hubert Hug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aimo Jäger having to interfere. Aimo Jäger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Seiffert, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Die Nordländer's Aimo Jäger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Seiffert in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hubert Hug made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rappo Jaksch in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ludwig Szymanski saved Eintracht Braunschweig from getting behind. If Hubert Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Carlo Küster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aimo Jäger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hubert Hug's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 63rd minute, Gerhart Buchele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hubert Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Eintracht Braunschweig's Hubert Hug ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aimo Jäger. Aimo Jäger yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rappo Jaksch in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ludwig Szymanski saved Eintracht Braunschweig from getting behind. In the 83rd minute, Hubert Hug fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aimo Jäger, passed just outside the right post. 90 minutes into the match, Eintracht Braunschweig's goal looked a bit too open when Rappo Jaksch came free, but Ludwig Szymanski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eintracht Braunschweig played a much better game than Die Nordländer and deserved their victory. The Die Nordländer players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
