Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luigi Sellmer in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johannes Stahlschmidt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th match minute, Vorwerk Resse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mirko Posinski to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thilo Daniels in the 12th minute of play forced Vorwerk Resse's goalkeeper Benny Bollwächter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mirko Posinski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. A collision led to Vorwerk Resse getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Mirko Posinski hit a great ball. Micha-Alexander Scheller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd match minute, Vorwerk Resse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskar Caberta y Diaz to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes Vorwerk Resse got a freekick which was hit by Luigi Sellmer. After 28 played minutes, Neuenhammer's Sebastian Schorling shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benny Bollwächter came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Neuenhammer reached it. In the 33rd minute of the match, Manolo Brocker sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Johannes Stahlschmidt showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Vorwerk Resse's Luigi Sellmer got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Neuenhammer's goalkeeper Johannes Stahlschmidt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luigi Sellmer. 43 minutes into the game, Thaddäus Behloch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vorwerk Resse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neuenhammer the free kick. Thaddäus Behloch hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gottfried Kluttig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perikles Birke in the 53rd minute of play forced Vorwerk Resse's goalkeeper Benny Bollwächter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Micha-Alexander Scheller's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benny Bollwächter firmly grabbed it by the left post. Johannes Stahlschmidt came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Vorwerk Resse's Thaddäus Behloch. But to his dismay, Thaddäus Behloch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Neuenhammer's Heinrich Kolpers got a free kick in the 69th minute. Luigi Sellmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oskar Caberta y Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Stahlschmidt having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thilo Daniels got free with Benny Bollwächter in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Neuenhammer's Thilo Daniels got a free kick in the 78th minute. Luigi Sellmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luigi Sellmer struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Johannes Stahlschmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vorwerk Resse. Luigi Sellmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carsten Nülle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Stahlschmidt having to interfere. Thaddäus Behloch might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johannes Stahlschmidt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thaddäus Behloch ran back to his position shaking his head. Neuenhammer's Johannes Stahlschmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luigi Sellmer in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Vorwerk Resse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskar Caberta y Diaz to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vorwerk Resse had played much better football throughout.
