Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frank-Ulrich Jemella started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Hubert Hug was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eintracht Braunschweig's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eisenbach the free kick. The supporters of Eisenbach booed when Eintracht Braunschweig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubert Hug didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Hubert Hug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eintracht Braunschweig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hubert Hug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Frank-Ulrich Jemella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Hubert Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Rosenbaum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferit Höppner scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ludwig Szymanski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ludwig Szymanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank-Ulrich Jemella in the 28th minute of play. Ludwig Szymanski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank-Ulrich Jemella in the 30th minute of the match. Nils Lanfermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ludwig Szymanski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Eisenbach's zone, Ortwin Görlitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Rosenbaum came out of the goal and Ortwin Görlitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hubert Hug to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eintracht Braunschweig's goalkeeper Ludwig Szymanski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 57 played minutes Eisenbach got a freekick which was hit by Ferit Höppner. Edgar Rosenbaum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Hug in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank-Ulrich Jemella in the 61st minute of play forced Eintracht Braunschweig's goalkeeper Ludwig Szymanski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hubert Hug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Rosenbaum having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Andreas Strzelczyk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eintracht Braunschweig's Ortwin Görlitz got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eisenbach's goalkeeper Edgar Rosenbaum, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edgar Rosenbaum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Seiffert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ferit Höppner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ortwin Görlitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Frank-Ulrich Jemella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ferit Höppner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Eisenbach walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
