James Klütz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank-Ulrich Jemella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, FC Goatstaller's goal looked a bit too open when Anselm Johannsen came free, but James Klütz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. James Klütz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank-Ulrich Jemella in the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, FC Goatstaller's goal looked a bit too open when Anselm Johannsen came free, but James Klütz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. James Klütz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank-Ulrich Jemella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Goatstaller's Patrick Schrader got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute Nils Lanfermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Klütz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Ansorge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar Rosenbaum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richard Ansorge to make the kick off. FC Goatstaller's James Klütz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Strzelczyk in the 53rd minute of play. Frank-Ulrich Jemella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serkan Mehlbaum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Rosenbaum having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Ferit Höppner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eisenbach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. FC Goatstaller's Claudius Rührmund got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Richard Ansorge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Eisenbach's zone, Clint Bonin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Rosenbaum came out of the goal and Clint Bonin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
