The audience was convinced that Gunther Vorwerk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elmar Frosch was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Elmar Frosch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunther Vorwerk, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Casimir Domann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 minutes of play, FC Mainzweiler's Konrad Fink made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elmar Frosch was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute, Klaas Fremd left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Mainzweiler fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Elmar Frosch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Fink, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 23 minutes into the game, Dirk Brand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Happy team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Mainzweiler the free kick. Dirk Brand hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Konrad Fink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmar Frosch having to interfere. Elmar Frosch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konrad Fink in the 27th minute of the match. Konrad Fink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Konrad Fink came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the FC Mainzweiler fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konrad Fink couldn't finish the play. Klaas Fremd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmar Frosch having to interfere. If Egon Stehmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Konrad Fink had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elmar Frosch. Happy team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Konrad Fink was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Johannes Krämer's late challenge caught a FC Mainzweiler's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johannes Krämer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Johannes Krämer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Happy team's Johannes Krämer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

In the 55th minute Johannes Krämer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislaw Kokott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Mainzweiler's Stanislaw Kokott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludwig Pilz in the 57th minute of play. Elmar Frosch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konrad Fink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the game, Konrad Fink recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elmar Frosch. Konrad Fink showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. After 73 played minutes Happy team got a freekick which was hit by Tim Campe. In the 74th minute of the match Gunther Vorwerk sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elmar Frosch skillfully saved the ball. 78 minutes into the match, FC Mainzweiler's Casimir Domann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elmar Frosch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Happy team's goal looked a bit too open when Konrad Fink came free, but Elmar Frosch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stanislaw Kokott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Volker Kohlstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. With his leg Elmar Frosch managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when FC Mainzweiler's Gunther Vorwerk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Happy team's Ludwig Pilz got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Elmar Frosch managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when FC Mainzweiler's Gunther Vorwerk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 92 minutes into the match, Egon Stehmer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elmar Frosch. Happy team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egon Stehmer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Gunther Vorwerk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Mainzweiler's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
