In the 3rd minute, Gerald Ringelnatz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute Gerald Ringelnatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopold Kartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Saturdays For Beer booed when Hörsten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Dieckmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saturdays For Beer's Nils Steckel got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Gerald Ringelnatz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopold Kartz. Saturdays For Beer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerald Ringelnatz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Nils Steckel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Dieckmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Leopold Kartz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Dieckmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopold Kartz having to interfere. Gerald Ringelnatz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leopold Kartz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. If Gaston Dieckmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Bum-Kun Ostmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saturdays For Beer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hörsten the free kick. Bum-Kun Ostmann kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Hörsten's Gaston Dieckmann got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerald Ringelnatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopold Kartz having to interfere. The Saturdays For Beer players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hörsten were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils Steckel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Dieckmann in the 54th minute of play forced Saturdays For Beer's goalkeeper Leopold Kartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Battista Gärtner charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Battista Gärtner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Saturdays For Beer's Battista Gärtner got a free kick in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Hörsten's Jason Freund broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 65 played minutes Saturdays For Beer got a freekick which was hit by Sascha Szurmant. Heinz-Gerd Bonhoeffer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Nils Steckel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horst Bockenauer during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Horst Bockenauer hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Gaston Dieckmann's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leopold Kartz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gaston Dieckmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopold Kartz having to interfere. Michael Gillen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hörsten's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
