Phoenix Starke started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Wachholz booed when Speele FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hinnerk Wessel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Uffe Götze left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wachholz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Gunther Rübenach was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wachholz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Speele FC the free kick. Gunther Rübenach kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 18 minutes of play Wachholz's Gunther Rübenach was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gunther Rübenach hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute of the match, Albert Danz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Harald Leesmeister was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Phoenix Starke came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Wachholz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phoenix Starke couldn't finish the play. After 27 played minutes Wachholz got a freekick which was hit by Phoenix Starke. In the 37th minute Uffe Götze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Ries-Müller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Conni Doll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute, Eberhard Weckenmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Marcio Nazaradeh notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Speele FC's Julian Ries-Müller. Julian Ries-Müller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Urs Spruck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Uffe Götze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Ries-Müller having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Eberhard Weckenmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deon Gotthard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Julian Ries-Müller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Ries-Müller made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Uffe Götze sent off a good shot on target. Wachholz's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
