Götz Schikorra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Erko Kobel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stefan Kaspar. CSC Lindwωrm's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erko Kobel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Domenico Genau took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stefan Kaspar. CSC Lindwωrm's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gordon Reumann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Kaspar having to interfere. Casimir Lubbatsch hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Frank Sänger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erko Kobel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Kaspar having to interfere. Stefan Kaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erko Kobel in the 36th minute of the match. Mark Jacobs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Jens Stifter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Colchester's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSC Lindwωrm the free kick. After 41 played minutes FC Colchester got a freekick which was hit by Jens Stifter. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gordon Reumann to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Gordon Reumann rounded CSC Lindwωrm's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank Sänger during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stefan Kaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordon Reumann, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. CSC Lindwωrm's Stefan Kaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordon Reumann in the 67th minute of play. FC Colchester's Gordon Reumann got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 71st minute of the match Frank Sänger completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Frank Sänger a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in CSC Lindwωrm fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Mark Jacobs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Colchester's Dennis Hoff got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After 88 played minutes CSC Lindwωrm got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Hardel. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gordon Reumann during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gordon Reumann hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Mark Jacobs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Götz Schikorra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Erko Kobel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Stefan Kaspar made a huge save. 99 minutes into the game, CSC Lindwωrm's Mark Jacobs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Götz Schikorra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
