The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Larry Seeliger hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Lukas Eckert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavin Leupold in the 21st minute of the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Gavin Leupold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wulkow Bei Booßen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavin Leupold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wolfgang Eisenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helge Nikisch having to interfere. Gavin Leupold recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabian Kröpelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Lukas Eckert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Allan Kaltenbach charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Allan Kaltenbach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Wulkow Bei Booßen FC booed when Erzgebirge Aue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Kaltenbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Kröpelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute Gavin Leupold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukas Eckert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lukas Eckert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joscha Stüwe went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Wolfgang Eisenberg heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Wulkow Bei Booßen FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
