Spectators: 7295 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hermann Jacob started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Hollage FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Kevin Bechthold hit a great ball. Marco Wille fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zwi Ritter having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Tim Birk made a precise shot to the right of Zwi Ritter. Hollage FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, Hollage FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulrich Jahnen came free, but Zwi Ritter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Wille fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zwi Ritter having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Ulrich Jahnen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Marco Wille had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hollage FC's Zwi Ritter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wolfgang Eisenberg in the 31st minute of play. Zwi Ritter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Wille, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 37 minutes, Wolfgang Eisenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erzgebirge Aue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wolfgang Eisenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zwi Ritter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Wille in the 39th minute of play. If Wolfgang Eisenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wolfgang Eisenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Zwi Ritter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wolfgang Eisenberg in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zwi Ritter prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wolfgang Eisenberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Hollage FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Wolfgang Eisenberg scored to the left of an out of position Zwi Ritter, making the score, 0-3. Wolfgang Eisenberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Erzgebirge Aue's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Zwi Ritter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolfgang Eisenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Marco Wille got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zwi Ritter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wolfgang Eisenberg in the 61st minute of the match. Ulrich Jahnen struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Zwi Ritter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erzgebirge Aue. The supporters of Hollage FC booed when Erzgebirge Aue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Bredel didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marco Wille had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolfgang Eisenberg in the 77th minute of play forced Hollage FC's goalkeeper Zwi Ritter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermann Jacob kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Marco Willes short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Zwi Ritter to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Marco Wille managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erzgebirge Aue's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Wille was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zwi Ritter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Hollage FC's zone, Wolfgang Eisenberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zwi Ritter came out of the goal and Wolfgang Eisenberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Fred Bredel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zwi Ritter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After a rather tough play, Hollage FC's Kevin Bechthold got a free kick in the 93rd minute. If Marco Wille had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Erzgebirge Aue's Marco Wille got a free kick in the 96th minute. Erzgebirge Aue's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
