The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marko Jüptner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wieland Burkart in the 9th minute of play. Marko Jüptner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Morris Bertermann in the 22nd minute of the match. Marko Jüptner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Morris Bertermann's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, TSV Brunn's goal looked a bit too open when Wieland Burkart came free, but Marko Jüptner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match, Andreas Menke tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Klaus Riestenpatt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Özcan Buchele kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Morris Bertermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Jüptner having to interfere. Marko Jüptner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wieland Burkart's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Joakim Gersten hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Morris Bertermann in the 36th minute of play forced TSV Brunn's goalkeeper Marko Jüptner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timo Hübner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wieland Burkart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Jüptner having to interfere. After the first half Manchester City F.C were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Morris Bertermann hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Manchester City F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Timo Hübner came free, but Klaus Riestenpatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wieland Burkart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Jüptner having to interfere. Morris Bertermann came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marko Jüptner could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieland Burkart in the 60th minute of play forced TSV Brunn's goalkeeper Marko Jüptner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Wieland Burkart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Jüptner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes, Manchester City F.C's Dean Zeeb shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marko Jüptner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manchester City F.C reached it. 67 minutes into the match, Andreas Menke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Klaus Riestenpatt. Manchester City F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andreas Menke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Gregor Rodemann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Klaus Riestenpatt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Menke in the 75th minute of the match. Morris Bertermann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Marko Jüptner made a huge save. Marko Jüptner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wieland Burkart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Morris Bertermann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Timo Hübner managed to get in a good position for a shot. TSV Brunn's supporters rose to their feet, but Timo Hübner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaus Riestenpatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manchester City F.C were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
