Beienrode's Friedemann Nittel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinzenz Sebastian in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Glösa booed when Beienrode was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfred Ernemann didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Glösa getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Memet Hirtzel hit a great ball. Michael Appenrodt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Kuch in the 16th minute of play. Michael Appenrodt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Kuch, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Friedemann Nittel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gunther Geske in the 19th minute. Gunther Geskes short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Friedemann Nittel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Manfred Ernemann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Appenrodt having to interfere. Michael Appenrodt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Kuch, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Roman Kuch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beienrode's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Kuch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Appenrodt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Kuch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinzenz Sebastian to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gunther Geske in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Friedemann Nittel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute Gunther Geske shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Friedemann Nittel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Friedemann Nittel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinzenz Sebastian in the 61st minute of the match. Vinzenz Sebastian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Friedemann Nittel having to interfere. Roman Kuch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michael Appenrodt having to make a save. Michael Appenrodt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Kuch in the 67th minute of the match. Memet Hirtzel kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Paul Vida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Friedemann Nittel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinzenz Sebastian in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Vinzenz Sebastian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Friedemann Nittel. Beienrode's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinzenz Sebastian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 83 minutes into the game, when Hermann Latendorf put in a rough tackle. The audience was convinced that Roman Kuch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Appenrodt was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunther Geske in the 95th minute of play forced Beienrode's goalkeeper Friedemann Nittel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Manfred Ernemann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beienrode's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfred Ernemann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Appenrodt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beienrode were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
