When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfons Raeder made a kick off. Fidelio Baader stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Werner Schöpfer's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. With 53 minutes on the clock, Kristian Assmann commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Otfried Gellrich went to the wrong direction when Moritz Kreis was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Fidelio Baader breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lion Liebherr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kai Herbig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Großengottern had played much better football throughout.
