Kai Herbig kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Alfons Raeder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Adam Barkow was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18thth minute of the game Werner Schöpfer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1.FC Vorwärts's Adam Barkow was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 19 played minutes 1.FC Vorwärts got a freekick which was hit by Thies Thoma. Alfons Raeder struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Adam Barkow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Großengottern. After having played for 28 minutes, Alfons Raeder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Großengottern's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfons Raeder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adam Barkow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Werner Schöpfer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Sören Bleiziffer fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1.FC Vorwärts's protests and gave Sören Bleiziffer a yellow card for diving instead. Sören Bleiziffer hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Adam Barkow showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfons Raeder in the 34th minute of the match. Adam Barkow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Raeder in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of 1.FC Vorwärts booed when Großengottern was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lion Liebherr didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, 1.FC Vorwärts's Ole Fassbinder broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Werner Schöpfer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Adam Barkow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Werner Schöpfer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adam Barkow didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfons Raeder went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The 1.FC Vorwärts players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Großengottern were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfons Raeder made a kick off. When %teams%'s Alfons Raeder was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-3 just inside the left pole, 54 minutes into the game. Adam Barkow was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. The supporters of Großengottern booed when 1.FC Vorwärts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thies Thoma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otfried Gellrich having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Werner Schöpfer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Großengottern fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After 95 minutes of play, Großengottern's Werner Schöpfer made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adam Barkow was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Großengottern left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 1.FC Vorwärts.
