An unexpectedly hard shot by Thies Thoma in the 9th minute of play forced DJK Villingen's goalkeeper Theo Schwaiger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Noah Bunje had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dolf Bartelt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Adam Barkow when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gottlieb Kohl's late challenge caught a 1.FC Vorwärts's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gottlieb Kohl helped the player get up and apologised. Theo Schwaiger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thies Thoma in the 34th minute of play. Tobias Buth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

DJK Villingen's Theo Schwaiger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save DJK Villingen from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, DJK Villingen's Tobias Buth got a free kick in the 96th minute. A collision led to DJK Villingen getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Matti Mielke hit a great ball. In the 98th minute of the match Ole Fassbinder shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theo Schwaiger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
