FSV Harz Thale's supporters rose to their feet, but Dragan Kömm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidelio Baader breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Horst Pott left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SV Eilendorf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. FSV Harz Thale's Thorsten Becker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save FSV Harz Thale from getting a goal against them. Thorsten Becker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswald Blome, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. SV Eilendorf's Fidelio Baader played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragan Kömm in the 26th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dragan Kömm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dragan Kömm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fidelio Baader read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Dragan Kömm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidelio Baader having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, SV Eilendorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswald Blome to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, SV Eilendorf's goal looked a bit too open when Dragan Kömm came free, but Fidelio Baader reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dragan Kömm in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fidelio Baader prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute, Karel Brockes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dragan Kömm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FSV Harz Thale booed when SV Eilendorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moritz Kreis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Sebastian Brozulat in the 82nd minute really tested Fidelio Baader's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Dragan Kömm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thorsten Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Dillschneider in the 88th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of FSV Harz Thale:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SV Eilendorf:s goal. If Karel Brockes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SV Eilendorf were victorious despite being under pressure from FSV Harz Thale for much of the match.
