Theo Schwaiger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lothar Stötzel went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Lothar Stötzel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theo Schwaiger was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Dolf Bartelt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinhold Jerems read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dolf Bartelt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hajo Borger struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Gerhard Jakob's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theo Schwaiger was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. When Gottlieb Kohl fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DJK Villingen's protests and gave Gottlieb Kohl a yellow card for diving instead. Gottlieb Kohl hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Hajo Borger scored 6-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theo Schwaiger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A very good chance for a goal. 92 minutes into the game, Lothar Stötzel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Theo Schwaiger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Checkpoint were the better team. Checkpoint's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
