Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mark Debus took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Kella's Alfred Wewers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thorsten Becker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thorsten Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Debus in the 6th minute of play. Thorsten Becker was a little too slow when Mark Debus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 14th minute of the match, Alfred Wewers got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thorsten Becker was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Thorsten Becker successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 27 played minutes FSV Harz Thale got a freekick which was hit by Rutger Balterschütz. Dragan Kömm struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Tillmann Haug didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FSV Harz Thale. 37 minutes into the match, Alfred Wewers notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FSV Harz Thale's Thorsten Becker. Thorsten Becker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute, Karel Brockes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dragan Kömm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Karel Brockes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Dragan Kömm made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, FSV Harz Thale's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Wewers came free, but Thorsten Becker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FSV Harz Thale's zone, Mark Debus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thorsten Becker came out of the goal and Mark Debus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 63 minutes FSV Harz Thale's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nico Ostwald who took care of the corner kick. Kella's Nico Ostwald was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thorsten Becker in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Karel Brockes could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Tillmann Haug however easily saved by the left post. Thorsten Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Wewers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kella getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Nico Ostwald hit a great ball. Dragan Kömm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Tillmann Haug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 played minutes FSV Harz Thale got a freekick which was hit by Sönke Grupe. Thorsten Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Wewers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thorsten Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Vengels in the 83rd minute of play. Dragan Kömm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tillmann Haug having to interfere. The Kella players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
