In the 15th minute Andreas Homolka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidelio Baader saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oswald Blome kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Andreas Homolka made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SV Eilendorf's Fidelio Baader tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fidelio Baader stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thies Thoma's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Adam Barkow was a little too slow when Niclas Andelfinger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-1. When Oliver Dillschneider came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the SV Eilendorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Dillschneider couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niclas Andelfinger in the 38th minute of play forced 1.FC Vorwärts's goalkeeper Adam Barkow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thies Thoma to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, 1.FC Vorwärts's Andreas Homolka made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fidelio Baader was left in no man's land by his defense there! 56 minutes into the game, 1.FC Vorwärts's Andreas Homolka nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fidelio Baader made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Oliver Dillschneider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Barkow having to interfere. Arno Zerr's late challenge caught a SV Eilendorf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arno Zerr helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, 1.FC Vorwärts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arno Zerr to maneuver through the defense. If Niclas Andelfinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thies Thoma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Homolka who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Fidelio Baader when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Adam Barkow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Dillschneider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Niclas Andelfinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SV Eilendorf booed when 1.FC Vorwärts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sören Bleiziffer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Oliver Dillschneider ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Barkow was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 1.FC Vorwärts eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
