In the 13thth minute of the game Hajo Borger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Equord's Emanuel Sobieray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuel Sobieray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lothar Stötzel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Hajo Borger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Sobieray was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Equord's Emanuel Sobieray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hajo Borger in the 19th minute of play. Ubbo Vöhringer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinhold Jerems having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Ubbo Vöhringer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Equord's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubbo Vöhringer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Checkpoint's zone, Matthias Pitterling stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinhold Jerems came out of the goal and Matthias Pitterling tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hajo Borger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Emanuel Sobieray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hajo Borger struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Emanuel Sobieray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Checkpoint. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hajo Borger was the one to do the kick off. When Ubbo Vöhringer came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Equord fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubbo Vöhringer couldn't finish the play. A hard shot by Wulf Kage from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Emanuel Sobieray's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Matthias Pitterling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Reinhold Jerems tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Sobieray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lothar Stötzel in the 67th minute. A collision led to Checkpoint getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alfred Polzer hit a great ball. In the 78th play minute Lothar Stötzel came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Emanuel Sobieray. 0-1. After 88 minutes, Alfred Polzer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Checkpoint and the Equord players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Checkpoint was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Polzer to maneuver through the defense. Checkpoint's Reinhold Jerems played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubbo Vöhringer in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Checkpoint's Hajo Borger dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Reinhold Jerems showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Pitterling in the 95th minute of the match. Lothar Stötzel in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emanuel Sobieray, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Checkpoint had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
