The supporters of SC Tannenhausen booed when Brunnadern FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kai Grunert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Heidsiek made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Torsten Biehlert sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute, Johannes Sprenger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Tannenhausen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Carsten Braak ter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juliane Quack in the 16th minute of play forced SC Tannenhausen's goalkeeper Paavo Hilljegerdes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Toni Schönbucher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Heidsiek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kai Grunert charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kai Grunert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Brunnadern FC's Kai Grunert got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Johannes Sprenger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anton Heidsiek having to make a save. Torsten Biehlert's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Anton Heidsiek skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29th minute, Carsten Braak ter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paavo Hilljegerdes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Brunnadern FC's Anton Heidsiek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Brunnadern FC from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the match, Brunnadern FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eibo Lade came free, but Anton Heidsiek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Brunnadern FC's Juliane Quack sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paavo Hilljegerdes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eibo Lade in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Heidsiek saved Brunnadern FC from getting behind. Torsten Biehlert who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Anton Heidsiek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 42nd minute Carsten Braak ter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paavo Hilljegerdes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, SC Tannenhausen's goal looked a bit too open when Hippo Faber came free, but Paavo Hilljegerdes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Juliane Quack made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Brunnadern FC's Juliane Quack ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paavo Hilljegerdes. Paavo Hilljegerdes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Kai Grunert kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Eibo Lade notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Brunnadern FC's Anton Heidsiek. Anton Heidsiek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torsten Biehlert in the 60th minute of play forced Brunnadern FC's goalkeeper Anton Heidsiek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Johannes Sprenger came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the SC Tannenhausen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Sprenger couldn't finish the play. Anton Heidsiek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veit Hübsch in the 67th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Johannes Sprenger managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Tannenhausen's supporters rose to their feet, but Johannes Sprenger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Heidsiek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Tannenhausen's Torsten Biehlert got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hippo Faber hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. If Berthold Pitterling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute.
