Spectators: 7463 (Terracing: 5598, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Uwe Kübler took the kick off in the first half of the match. With 4 minutes on the clock, Christoph Bormann commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Schierlage:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mehringsburg FC:s goal. The referee gave Mehringsburg FC a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Erhard Benscheider, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Schierlage's Finn Kühne. 0-1. Ty Felich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Finn Kühne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ty Felich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finn Kühne having to interfere. If Uwe Kübler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uwe Kübler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finn Kühne having to interfere. If Ty Felich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Uwe Kübler took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Finn Kühne. Finn Kühne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Uwe Kübler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ty Felich in the 42nd minute of play forced Schierlage's goalkeeper Finn Kühne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ty Felich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mehringsburg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ty Felich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Finn Kühne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Finn Kühne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uwe Kübler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horst Rüddenklau to make the kick off. With a little luck, Schierlage's Finn Kühne got control of the ball when Ty Felich tried to sneak it across the goal line. Volkmar Buche hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Ty Felich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Finn Kühne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Schierlage's zone, Ty Felich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Finn Kühne came out of the goal and Ty Felich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mehringsburg FC's Eugen Dölle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horst Rüddenklau in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Uwe Kübler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finn Kühne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Ty Felich put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Finn Kühne. If Uwe Kübler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Schierlage was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Volkmar Buche to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Schierlage's zone, Ty Felich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Finn Kühne came out of the goal and Ty Felich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Volkmar Buche fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Schierlage's protests and gave Volkmar Buche a yellow card for diving instead. When Ty Felich came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Mehringsburg FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ty Felich couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schierlage's goalkeeper Finn Kühne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Ty Felich got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mehringsburg FC played a much better game than Schierlage and deserved their victory. The Schierlage players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
