Eugen Dölle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meikel Fleischer in the 11th minute of play. Mehringsburg FC's Eugen Dölle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Günter Huwe in the 12th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Mehringsburg FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick-Marc Göldner. In the 16th minute, Meikel Fleischer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frankfurt SGE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Günter Huwe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Günter Huwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Dölle having to interfere. If Uwe Kübler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Günter Huwe in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugen Dölle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Frankfurt SGE fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Frankfurt SGE's Meikel Fleischer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ty Felich struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Mikolaj Sidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mehringsburg FC. When Uwe Kübler came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Mehringsburg FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uwe Kübler couldn't finish the play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ty Felich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mehringsburg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ty Felich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikolaj Sidor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uwe Kübler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Frankfurt SGE's zone, Ty Felich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehringsburg FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ty Felich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Frankfurt SGE walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
