After a rather tough play, Nördlingen Fc's Lenny Wesener got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 13th minute, Felipe Schönfelder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduard Kühn might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hartmut Wexler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduard Kühn ran back to his position shaking his head. Michael Heuchel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Eberhard Knoche made a huge save. Grimelsheim FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Michael Heuchel scored to the left of an out of position Eberhard Knoche, making the score, 1-0. Eberhard Knoche made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Michael Heuchel sent off a good shot on target. Herbert Labinsky kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Lenny Wesener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eberhard Knoche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Wesener, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduard Kühn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hartmut Wexler having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lenny Wesener stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Herrmann Bolz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hartmut Wexler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heimito Seisler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hartmut Wexler having to interfere. When Clark Keuerleber fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grimelsheim FC's protests and gave Clark Keuerleber a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Nördlingen Fc. Ronnie Badla stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eberhard Knoche. 2-1. Heimito Seisler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Schönfelder in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eberhard Knoche saved Grimelsheim FC from getting behind. Grimelsheim FC's Heimito Seisler was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Michael Heuchel struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Eberhard Knoche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nördlingen Fc. Grimelsheim FC's Eberhard Knoche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Heuchel in the 78th minute of play. Heimito Seisler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Michael Heuchel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nördlingen Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Heuchel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eberhard Knoche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heimito Seisler got free with Hartmut Wexler in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michael Heuchel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eberhard Knoche having to interfere. Simon Kirchberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Hartmut Wexler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduard Kühn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hartmut Wexler having to interfere. With a little luck, Nördlingen Fc's Hartmut Wexler got control of the ball when Heimito Seisler tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Grimelsheim FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
