Jürgen Stamm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoph Damm in the 33rd minute of the match. FC Zedtlitz's supporters rose to their feet, but Endrik Aicher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joschi Bucher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Hamme's zone, Jorg Stiewe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joschi Bucher came out of the goal and Jorg Stiewe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over FC Zedtlitz could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hamme throughout the match.
