Leo Schwanitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joschi Bucher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Schwanitz ran back to his position shaking his head. Conny Majohr hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Groß Schwülper's Leo Schwanitz got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pitt Heyse kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The supporters of Hamme booed when Groß Schwülper was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Udo Ohm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joschi Bucher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Erik Bergers in the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Hamme's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Erik Bergers came free, but Joschi Bucher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Christoph Damm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens-Erik Bergers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Joschi Bucher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pitt Heyse's late challenge caught a Groß Schwülper's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pitt Heyse helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th match minute, Hamme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pitt Heyse to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Groß Schwülper's Fox Eggers broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Leo Schwanitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Groß Schwülper's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Schwanitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joschi Bucher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jens-Erik Bergers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joschi Bucher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Erik Bergers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuri Fröhlich's late challenge caught a Hamme's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuri Fröhlich helped the player get up and apologised. Nuri Fröhlich kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. A collision led to Hamme getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Raoul Lips hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Jens-Erik Bergers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Schwanitz in the 54th minute of play forced Hamme's goalkeeper Joschi Bucher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Christoph Damm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Jens-Erik Bergers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Groß Schwülper's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens-Erik Bergers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joschi Bucher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Schwanitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Joschi Bucher came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Groß Schwülper's Leo Schwanitz. But to his dismay, Leo Schwanitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 76 minutes into the game, Leo Schwanitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Joschi Bucher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Udo Ohm hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Conny Majohr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Groß Schwülper's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fox Eggers in the 86th minute. 92 minutes into the game, one of Hamme:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 96th minute, Nuri Fröhlich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Groß Schwülper were the better team. Groß Schwülper's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
