Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Overath's Andreas Ruge started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Wayne Dinar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Witzig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Klemens Bartels got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albrecht Riemer's late challenge caught a Neppenkamp FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albrecht Riemer helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Overath got a freekick which was hit by Albrecht Riemer. In the 13th minute, Romeo Kink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Neppenkamp FC's zone, Andreas Ruge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Witzig came out of the goal and Andreas Ruge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albrecht Riemer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank-Dieter Wyes charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank-Dieter Wyes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Neppenkamp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank-Dieter Wyes to maneuver through the defense. Overath's Andreas Ruge got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armando Witzig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Ruge, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Neppenkamp FC's Frank-Dieter Wyes got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Andreas Ruge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Armando Witzig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andreas Ruge got free with Armando Witzig in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute of the match Overath got a corner. Neppenkamp FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mathias Stark ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 38th minute, Ron Schauerte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neppenkamp FC's Wolfram Schrader suffered a concussion after 39 minutes and had to leave the field. In the 41st minute, Christof Engelhardt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albrecht Riemer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klemens Bartels to strike the kick off in the second half. Andreas Ruge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Witzig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Ruge in the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Neppenkamp FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erhard Graf came free, but Armando Witzig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Istvan Ünlü kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Frank-Dieter Wyes was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Frank-Dieter Wyes hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andreas Ruge in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Witzig saved Neppenkamp FC from getting behind. When Overath's Andreas Ruge in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Neppenkamp FC's goalie prevented a goal. Overath's attentive Wayne Dinar managed to snatch the ball when Niklaus Petzold made a throw-in in the 79th minute of the game. Neppenkamp FC's Armando Witzig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wayne Dinar in the 80th minute of play. Andreas Ruge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Witzig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Armando Witzig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Ruge, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Andreas Ruge might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Witzig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andreas Ruge ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Neppenkamp FC's goalkeeper Armando Witzig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
