Spectators: 7468 (Terracing: 5602, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Andreas Ruge made the kick off which started today's match. Ron Schauerte took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gunther Buth. Inaktiv's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Andreas Ruge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gunther Buth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 12 minutes, Erhard Graf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Overath's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erhard Graf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andreas Ruge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gunther Buth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute Günther Sinnesbichler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gülsün Bleicher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunther Buth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Ruge in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Mathias Stark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Thorbjörn Gläser sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Overath's Gülsün Bleicher didn't even have to move. In the 26th minute Andreas Ruge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunther Buth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Erhard Graf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Overath's supporters rose to their feet, but Erhard Graf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunther Buth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Overath's Erhard Graf got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Overath's Gülsün Bleicher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Overath from getting a goal against them. Inaktiv were furious when Karel Jansen was red carded, 38 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Inaktiv fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Overath a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mathias Stark, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Inaktiv's Gunther Buth. 0-3. 45 minutes into the match, Inaktiv's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Ruge came free, but Gunther Buth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Albrecht Riemer made a precise shot to the right of Gunther Buth. Inaktiv's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The Inaktiv players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Overath were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hansjürgen Wedig to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Andreas Ruge lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Gunther Buth. Ron Schauerte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gunther Buth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Inaktiv's zone, Ewald Bange stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gunther Buth came out of the goal and Ewald Bange tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Andreas Ruge sped through Inaktiv's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gunther Buth. In the 63rd minute, Andreas Ruge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Overath fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Gunther Buth came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Overath's Andreas Ruge. But to his dismay, Andreas Ruge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. When Overath's Andreas Ruge in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Inaktiv's goalie prevented a goal. Hansjürgen Wedig hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Andreas Ruge notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Inaktiv's Gunther Buth. Gunther Buth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andreas Ruge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andreas Ruge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gunther Buth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Albrecht Riemer made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Inaktiv's Gunther Buth tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Erhard Graf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 98th minute of the match, Andreas Ruge got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gunther Buth was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Inaktiv fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Overath were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
