Frank-Dieter Wyes hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 44 minutes of play, Overath's Andreas Ruge made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armando Witzig was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Neppenkamp FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Overath were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Wolfram Schrader made the kick off in the second half. Andreas Ruge made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 51stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Armando Witzig would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Andreas Ruge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albrecht Riemer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Armando Witzig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andreas Ruge who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Armando Witzig when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Neppenkamp FC's zone, Andreas Ruge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Witzig came out of the goal and Andreas Ruge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Overath booed when Neppenkamp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Sahr didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Andreas Ruge lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Armando Witzig. Andreas Ruge did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Armando Witzig 78 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Andreas Ruge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Overath fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Andreas Ruge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Witzig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. If Mathias Stark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Armando Witzig managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Overath's Andreas Ruge fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
