Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Emil Klütz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Emil Klütz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Helmut Behnisch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemens Lütke having to make a save. Ivan Thomale's late challenge caught a Ruhloh FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Thomale helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Schnolli's Ivan Thomale got a free kick in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Emil Klütz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruhloh FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Klütz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Helge Esch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Helge Esch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Klütz, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 29th minute Emil Klütz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helge Esch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Klütz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Helge Esch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Schnolli defense, Emil Klütz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Helge Esch. The FC Schnolli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Helge Esch should have stopped the shot. If Janek Gerharz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes, Palle Kreisinger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ruhloh FSV and the FC Schnolli players grew even worse after the yellow card. Palle Kreisinger kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Helmut Behnisch to strike the kick off in the second half. Helge Esch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emil Klütz went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. FC Schnolli's Helge Esch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janek Gerharz in the 63rd minute of play. Ivan Thomale hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Janek Gerharz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Helge Esch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemens Lütke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helmut Behnisch in the 70th minute of play. When Durs Stoffmehl fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ruhloh FSV's protests and gave Durs Stoffmehl a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Durs Stoffmehl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emil Klütz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Helge Esch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emil Klütz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Helge Esch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janek Gerharz in the 88th minute of the match. Janek Gerharz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helge Esch having to interfere. After 98 minutes of play FC Schnolli's Ivan Thomale was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 99 played minutes FC Schnolli got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Thomale. Stefan Enders, 99 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ruhloh FSV had played much better football throughout.
