Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frederik Naumann kicked off to start the match. Schalke 04's Faruk Korff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Klütz in the 8th minute of play. Janek Gerharz struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Faruk Korff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ruhloh FSV. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruhloh FSV's goalkeeper Clemens Lütke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frederik Naumann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Clemens Lütke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Frederik Naumann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Clemens Lütke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Faruk Korff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Klütz in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Ruhloh FSV booed when Schalke 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederik Neugebauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Frederik Neugebauer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Schalke 04's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruhloh FSV the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Schalke 04's zone, Emil Klütz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faruk Korff came out of the goal and Emil Klütz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Palle Kreisinger was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Ruhloh FSV's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Janek Gerharz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faruk Korff having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Schalke 04's Fabian Döngelli got a free kick in the 35th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Ruhloh FSV's Stefan Enders broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Janek Gerharz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil Klütz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Janek Gerharz could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Faruk Korff however easily saved by the left post. Faruk Korff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Klütz in the 45th minute of play. Faruk Korff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Klütz in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emil Klütz to strike the kick off in the second half. Schalke 04's Bero Huff couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ruhloh FSV. With a little luck, Ruhloh FSV's Clemens Lütke got control of the ball when Micha-Alexander Bachmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Schalke 04's zone, Janek Gerharz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faruk Korff came out of the goal and Janek Gerharz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Janek Gerharz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Klütz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faruk Korff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Schalke 04's goal looked a bit too open when Janek Gerharz came free, but Faruk Korff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faruk Korff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Hofmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemens Lütke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederik Naumann in the 69th minute of the match. Janek Gerharz struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Faruk Korff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Janek Gerharz spun around in front of the goal 90 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Schalke 04's goal. Emil Klütz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Emil Klütz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faruk Korff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Micha-Alexander Bachmann notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Ruhloh FSV's Clemens Lütke. Clemens Lütke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle went the supporters of Schalke 04 were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ruhloh FSV side.
