Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Stanislaw Möst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. Tibor Holzmann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gennaro Wiesemann. Gittelde FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dieter Abelmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Ellinghaus in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gittelde FSV's zone, Stanislaw Möst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gennaro Wiesemann came out of the goal and Stanislaw Möst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Hahn Fußballverein booed when Gittelde FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Eller didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Peter Kürten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dieter Abelmann was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Ellinghaus in the 28th minute of play forced Hahn Fußballverein's goalkeeper Dieter Abelmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Hahn Fußballverein's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Kürten came free, but Dieter Abelmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes, Claus Flauger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hahn Fußballverein and the Gittelde FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hahn Fußballverein's Dieter Abelmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christopher Ellinghaus in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Gittelde FSV booed when Hahn Fußballverein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rio Körber didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stanislaw Möst made a kick off. Jens Recht hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Rio Körber's late challenge caught a Gittelde FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rio Körber helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes, Gittelde FSV's Gerold Karis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dieter Abelmann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gittelde FSV reached it. When Gittelde FSV's Christopher Ellinghaus in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hahn Fußballverein's goalie prevented a goal. Stanislaw Möst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gennaro Wiesemann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislaw Möst in the 70th minute of play forced Gittelde FSV's goalkeeper Gennaro Wiesemann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christopher Ellinghaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christopher Ellinghaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Dieter Abelmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dieter Abelmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Kürten in the 78th minute of the match. Dominik Thiel hit a great ball. In the 90th match minute, Hahn Fußballverein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Holzmann to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Gabriel Nüssle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Christopher Ellinghaus came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Gittelde FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Ellinghaus couldn't finish the play. The Gittelde FSV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gittelde FSV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
