Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gittelde FSV's Peter Kürten started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peter Kürten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samir Hitzler having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Kreuer Fürth's goalkeeper Samir Hitzler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christopher Ellinghaus. After 8 minutes, Fatmir Schmaltz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gittelde FSV and the Kreuer Fürth players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Gittelde FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fatmir Schmaltz to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Eller kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Benedikt Gollick was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Kreuer Fürth's Samir Hitzler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Kürten in the 16th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolf Gubitz during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kreuer Fürth's Rolf Gubitz got a free kick in the 18th minute. Samir Hitzler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Kürten in the 20th minute of play. When Peter Kürten came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Gittelde FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Kürten couldn't finish the play. In the 25thth minute of the game Björn Sabath who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gittelde FSV's Gennaro Wiesemann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rolf Gubitz took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gennaro Wiesemann. Gennaro Wiesemann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kreuer Fürth's Björn Sabath got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christopher Ellinghaus's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Samir Hitzler firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jürn Kludig's late challenge caught a Gittelde FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jürn Kludig helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kreuer Fürth's Jürn Kludig got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Gerold Karis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kreuer Fürth's Samir Hitzler didn't even have to move. Mehdi Cremer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Björn Sabath to strike the kick off in the second half. Gennaro Wiesemann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Björn Sabath's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Christopher Ellinghaus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samir Hitzler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Fabian Eller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gittelde FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Eller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
