Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jacob Frick kicked off to start the match. Ralf Scherer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Leo Gennburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leo Gennburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Kathan, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Müggendorf's Leo Gennburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Scherer in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Rottenbauer's Conni Blaum nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leo Gennburg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Leo Gennburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Scherer in the 31st minute of play. If Mirko Kläser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacob Frick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bonito Focke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Erwin Knappe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mirko Kläser during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ralf Scherer to strike the kick off in the second half. Leo Gennburg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conni Blaum in the 55th minute. Manfred Beil hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Müggendorf's Mirko Kläser got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mirko Kläser came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Müggendorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mirko Kläser couldn't finish the play. Ralf Scherer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leo Gennburg came out and tried to block the shot, but Ralf Scherer slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 67th minute. After 70 minutes of play, Rottenbauer's Ralf Lade made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leo Gennburg was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Scherer in the 75th minute of play forced Müggendorf's goalkeeper Leo Gennburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Müggendorf's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Scherer came free, but Leo Gennburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralf Lade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Leo Gennburg made a huge save. If Jacob Frick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bonito Focke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Müggendorf had been in control for most of the match, Rottenbauer still came away with the win.
