Cosimo Holtei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per Osthoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sören Stöckel in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Eisern 66's Ullrich Kühlert got a free kick in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Remo Klauß cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Robert Rückert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 38th minute, Norbert Kühlem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Klauß in the 41st minute of play forced FC Eisern 66's goalkeeper Robert Rückert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sören Stöckel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Per Osthoff came out and tried to block the shot, but Sören Stöckel slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 44th minute. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Reinhold Droste fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Eisern 66's protests and gave Reinhold Droste a yellow card for diving instead.
