Kreuer Fürth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Björn Sabath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Thommes's late challenge caught a FC Holzkopf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Thommes helped the player get up and apologised. Gabriel Thommes hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Rolf Gubitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Luis Hönig made a huge save. After 18 played minutes, FC Holzkopf's Emir Barnett shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samir Hitzler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Holzkopf reached it. Leonhard Butkus hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Kreuer Fürth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jürn Kludig to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Justin Sanger managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Holzkopf's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Sanger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samir Hitzler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute, Benedikt Gollick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justin Sanger in the 28th minute of play forced Kreuer Fürth's goalkeeper Samir Hitzler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Justin Sanger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience held their breath when Frederik Heermann in the 56th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Luis Hönig's left hand side. Luis Hönig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Björn Sabath's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Luis Hönig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Sabath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 played minutes Kreuer Fürth got a freekick which was hit by Jürn Kludig. FC Holzkopf's Axel Kalisch got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kristian Kock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 minutes, Norbert Brüning mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kreuer Fürth and the FC Holzkopf players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kreuer Fürth's Norbert Brüning got a free kick in the 78th minute. Samir Hitzler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Sanger, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Gubitz in the 85th minute of play forced FC Holzkopf's goalkeeper Luis Hönig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Hönig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Sabath in the 91st minute of play. In the 97th minute, Kristian Kock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
