Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ralf Scherer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Conni Blaum's late challenge caught a Gittelde FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conni Blaum helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gittelde FSV booed when Rottenbauer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conni Blaum didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Christopher Ellinghaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gittelde FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christopher Ellinghaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute Peter Kürten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Knappe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gittelde FSV's zone, Ralf Scherer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gennaro Wiesemann came out of the goal and Ralf Scherer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerold Kalleder kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Gittelde FSV's Gennaro Wiesemann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Lade in the 19th minute of play. Christopher Ellinghauss short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Erwin Knappe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Rottenbauer defense, Christopher Ellinghaus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erwin Knappe. The Rottenbauer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erwin Knappe should have stopped the shot. Rottenbauer's Erwin Knappe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Kürten in the 27th minute of play. Christopher Ellinghaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Knappe having to interfere. In the 31st minute Ralf Lade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gennaro Wiesemann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erwin Knappe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Kürten in the 38th minute of play. If Christopher Ellinghaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erwin Knappe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Kürten in the 40th minute of the match. During the 41st minute of the match Conni Blaum completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Conni Blaum a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Rottenbauer getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Conni Blaum hit a great ball. Peter Kürten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Peter Kürten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Rottenbauer's Erwin Knappe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Kürten in the 52nd minute of play. Peter Kürten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Knappe having to interfere. Christopher Ellinghaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Knappe having to interfere. Erwin Knappe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Kürten in the 60th minute of the match. Christopher Ellinghaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rottenbauer's Erwin Knappe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Kürten in the 64th minute of play. Christopher Ellinghaus struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Erwin Knappe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gittelde FSV. Erwin Knappe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Ellinghaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Manfred Beil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rottenbauer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gittelde FSV the free kick. After 72 played minutes Rottenbauer got a freekick which was hit by Manfred Beil. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Kürten in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erwin Knappe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ralf Lade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gennaro Wiesemann having to interfere. Erwin Knappe came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Gittelde FSV's Christopher Ellinghaus. But to his dismay, Christopher Ellinghaus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Erwin Knappe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Ellinghaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Erwin Knappe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Ellinghaus in the 91st minute of the match. If Christopher Ellinghaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rottenbauer's goalkeeper Erwin Knappe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
