When Justin Sanger, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Theo Aumüller was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 30 minutes, Jerzy Uhrig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bielefelder Jungs and the FC Holzkopf players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bielefelder Jungs getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Luis Hönig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Leon Artmann came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Bielefelder Jungs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Artmann couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Bielefelder Jungs's Leon Artmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Hönig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bielefelder Jungs's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
